Caging and caring for exhibition birds.Wout van Gils.
General.
Start selecting your birds according to the standard requirements at the end of August. Select only the right ones.
Check the bird for irregularities such as: Furness. Broken wing and/or tail feathers. Toenails. Year of the bird.
If the bird is colorful, take out the bird (not always for breeding).
Pull out broken tail or wing feathers. If there are many, cut them just behind the shaft; After one week you can pull out the pins without much effort. Look for deformity.
