Pinkies

Pinkies
Pinkies are the most commonly used frozen insects in bird breeding. If birds have a choice, they often prefer it. It is a larva with a soft skin and a tasty composition. Pinkies are the larvae of the green blowfly. The name is derived from the English word "pink": when the maggots clean themselves before pupating, they take on a pink color.
The four stages of the insect are: fly – egg – larva – pupa.
