From egg to canary rings
At the start of canary breeding there are a few things that can cause annoyance in the breeding loft. This starts with the development of the egg, and later accidents can happen, for example when ringing the young birds. In this brief article I would like to bring those points to your attention.
The nest:
1. Provide good and clean soft nesting material.
2. Use sturdy, fixed nest boxes or baskets.
3. Hang the nest box or basket at the front of the breeding cage.
4. Make sure the nest is properly finished. Work on the nest itself with a broken lamp.
