Early breeding
It is certainly possible to influence the breeding urge of birds, something that is indispensable for the "early" breeder - who wants to start as early as December. An absolute condition is that the birds are at least 9 months old.
By artificially extending the day, you activate the pituitary gland in the bird's brain, which produces hormones that stimulate reproduction. This day extension must be gradual, usually up to about 14 hours. You can also set it directly to 15 o'clock.
