Topography of a bird. Every good bird book can contain something on this subject. I would like to highlight only the most important points that are relevant to us. The most characteristic of our birds is of course that they can fly. Flying - the flying silhouette - often already contains an important recognition feature: the wing position and the drawing. These vary widely and depend on the wing shape. Fast, good flyers have narrow and long wings (swift, falcon, tern, etc.) and a slender body that offers little air resistance.
