Canarypox: prevention is better than cure.

Let's hope it never comes to that — because that's not why you bred and cared for your birds. Yet every year it appears that many bird breeders have to deal with bird pox. Too bad, very unfortunate — but could it have been prevented? The answer is simply: yes. That is why I would like to draw your attention again through this article to the prevention of canarypox. Sometimes people hear "I have the bite disease" — but that has nothing to do with canarypox. With canary pox you recognize the following:
