diseases of birds. Submitted.
To recognize a sick bird, one must first know how a healthy bird behaves.
Abnormal behavior does not always have to indicate a sick bird, but it should be taken into account. Some changes in behavior may include:
- stuffed feathers, drooping and trembling of wings, retracted head and sleeping at random times.
- eyes not clear and/or nicely round or red rim around the eye,
- sitting flat on the stick and/or sleeping on two legs.
- wet anal feathering.
- abnormal color of the beak and/or skin and deformities thereof.
- sneezing and/or yawning.
