Most enthusiasts are familiar with selection — but whether they actually do it well is another question. Because after selecting you also have to make decisions. Experienced breeders do this all year round, continuously: from pairing, nest building, breeding, feeding, moulting, to the final assessment after moulting — and the results at the exhibitions.
