The feathering is one of the sections on the inspection certificate — and should certainly not be underestimated. Quite a few mistakes are made: during coupling, but also during the care and caging of exhibition birds. The bird can therefore lose quite a few points — but can also gain, by pairing well and keeping the feathers in good condition.
