After my article about hatchlings dying in the egg, I repeatedly received questions about unfertilized eggs. This problem returns regularly every year, and there are also causes for this. If every breeder were to honestly report their results, it would appear that unfertilized eggs are still very common and significantly reduce the average per flock. A solution is possible in most cases and not particularly difficult — but the problem can have multiple causes, and the trick is identifying the right one.
